Nieves Garcia Perchin was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. She  studied Film, TV, and Media Studies at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Her passion for directing drove her to pursue an MFA in Film Directing from Boston University. After graduating in 2018, Nieves moved to NYC where she works as a director, writer, and Script Supervisor (Local 161 member). Nieves is passionate about telling stories about mental health, grief, and healing. She is an award winning director and writer with her short films selected in multiple festivals such as Flicker’s Rhode Island Film Festival, Nantucket Film Festival,  and Atlanta Film Festival among others.

Director of Photography

Chase Shamlian is a northeastern director of photography, having worked in New York, Philadelphia, and Boston. He is an experienced, technical filmmaker and story teller with a BA in film from Boston University. As a gaffer, Chase has been in charge of lighting on commercials for large brands including Home Chef, Shopify, Heinz, and Puma. He has also shot short films, documentaries, and promotional videos. His focus as a cinematographer is on portraying drama, using lighting and composition to further the emotions of a scene, create an interesting atmosphere, push the depth of an image, and tell a story in a single frame.

Producer

OLIVIA VESSEL is an actor, producer and editor in NYC. She has a BFA in Acting, and recently won Best Film and Best Actress for her work on the short film, The Devil Is In the Details as part of the 48 Hr Film Project. She has produced a handful of short and feature films, and works as an editor on narratives and interview shows. Olivia is most well-known for her comedy show on YouTube, The Cheese Show, which she hosts with her comedian husband. Ask her for a cheese recommendation when you’re ready to be introduced to your new favorite cheese.
